Todd is a former management consultant, US Navy veteran, a two-time entrepreneur, and founder of The Collective Academy. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, served as a Senior Administrator at Chicago Public Schools, and is the author of two books. Todd is a Commissioner of the Cook County Commission on Human Rights, a 2016 Presidential Leadership Scholar, and lead facilitator for the George W. Bush Institute Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program.
Bunker Labs is a national entrepreneurship organization dedicated to helping military veterans and their spouses start and grow businesses by creating locally thriving networks, robust educational programs, and platforms for military veteran entrepreneurs to connect with the people, resources, and opportunities they need to be successful with early stage ventures.
Kevin is a Marine Corps veteran and has over 20 years of experience in finance, strategy, operations, and investments. Prior to TFX, Kevin was a Managing Director for Stephens Capital Partners LLC and Stephens Inc. He began his career in General Electric’s Corporate Audit Staff, then joined GE Capital, leading operational improvements and cofounding a new insurance business. Following GE, Kevin founded a management consulting company that advised companies and government agencies in the defense sector. Kevin holds an MBA from Duke University, and is on the Board of Directors of Veterans Bridge Home and the Steering Committee for Veterans on Wall Street (Charlotte chapter).
Task Force X Capital is a veteran-led advisory and venture capital firm focused on growing seed and early-stage veteran businesses and startups.
Prior to FitFight, Steven was a consultant for Johnson & Johnson’s Orthopedic Trauma Division, where he utilized eight years of Critical Care and Trauma Nursing experience. In the military, he earned the rank of Master Sergeant after serving 23+ years in Army Special Forces, where his specialties included Special Forces Weapons Sergeant and Special Forces Intel Sergeant. He is a Level 1 Sniper, and attended Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab at DIA as well as the Special Operations Planners Course in Norfolk VA. Steve earned a BS in Nursing from Quinnipiac University, completed a Critical Care Residency at Yale New Haven Hospital Systems, and holds a BS from Southern Connecticut State University.
FitFight is the first of its kind global athletic competition platform, founded on the principle that competition breeds peak performance. The mobile platform has 5,000 users in over 140 countries.
Mindy Kelly leads the Partnership Fund’s social impact investments. Prior, she was a Senior Vice President at Mizuho Bank’s Private Placement Group where she was responsible for origination and distribution of privately placed senior capital for US and international clients. Mindy has extensive debt capital markets and investment management experience, and participated in the creation and launch of Debt Private Placements Groups. She has a Master’s degree from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.

After graduating from Cornell University with a BS and MEng in Operations Research, Elana Duffy worked in civil engineering before enlisting in the US Army as an Intelligence Collector, Interrogator, and Counterintelligence Investigator. During her 10 years of active service, she was assigned around the world including deployments to Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She was awarded a Purple Heart and medically retired in 2012, after which she returned built www.pathfinder.vet. She is an alumna of the VFL Veterans Entrepreneurship Training (VET) program.
Pathfinder.vet assists veterans and families reintegrating into the civilian world after service by giving them the ability to share their experiences with local support resources and providing them with AI-generated information and analysis to continue improving their programs and communities.
Jamaal Glenn is a Vice President at Alumni Ventures Group, an adjunct professor at New York University, and the founder of Glenn Media Group, a boutique strategy and digital media consulting practice. Previously, he led business development for an Israeli tech startup. He also founded and sold a digital publishing company, and worked at Google and J.P. Morgan. Jamaal received an MBA from Stanford, an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Alumni Ventures Group (AVG) is a venture capital firm that gives individual investors access to a high-quality, diversified venture portfolio. Launched in 2014, it is already one of the most active venture firms in the world, and is growing.
In addition to On Grid Ventures and Harvard Business School Alumni Angels, Jason is on several advisory boards including Tire Agent, EnerKnol, Walc, Shoppable, and PageScience. He served on the board of the New York City Police Foundation for 18 years. Previously, Jason was CEO of Newspaper National Network LP, and CEO of Times Mirror Magazines. He raised $900 million in private capital for acquisitions of media properties following the sale of Times Mirror Co, including founding Healthy Living Media with North Castle Partners. He is also a founder of MDconsult.com, SaaS for medical professionals (now owned by Elsevier Science), and a former McKinsey and Bain strategy consultant.
Jason holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Klein was recognized by Media Magazine as one of “100 People to Know” in the media industry, and by Alley Watch as one of “25 Angels Investors in NY You Need to Know.”
Jeremy is a US Army veteran, entrepreneur, inventor and unofficial coach to passionate innovators. His professional and entrepreneurial journey has taken him from New Mexico to New York, Baghdad to Brooklyn, and Silicon Valley to Silicon Alley. He holds a graduate degree in urban policy and sustainability from Columbia University, and since 2011 has focused on leading HEVO’s efforts to develop and commercialize their EV wireless charging technology, software, and services.
HEVO (Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Optimization) offers a wireless charging option for electric vehicles, a safe and effective method of charging electric vehicles (EVs) that eliminates the hazards and inconveniences associated with plug-in charging. A graduate of the Urban Future Lab, HEVO has a team that spans North America and Europe, and a vision built on creating the global wireless charging standard for electric vehicles (EV) — providing users with the ability to simply park and power up.
Kurt Becker is an international expert in the areas of the experimental and theoretical study of electron-driven processes in plasmas. He was part of a group of pioneering scientists who determined the ionization cross sections for atoms and molecules, which are critical to understanding the charge carrier formation in plasmas.
Prior to joining NYU Tandon, he was associate director of the Center for Environmental Systems at Stevens Institute of Technology from 2003-2007 and department head from 2000 to 2007. He is the recipient of the Dr. Eduard-Martin Prize for Excellence in Research and an American Physical Society Fellow. A prolific author, Becker has written over 200 articles in refereed journals and books and seven patents on the stabilization of atmospheric pressure plasmas and their applications.
Steven cofounded the Future Labs while serving as an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at NYU — his alma mater and the institution where he continues to teach. Prior to launching the Future Labs, Steven founded and co-founded 3 ventures in mobile, B2B logistics, and retail. He currently oversees management of the Data Future Lab, Digital Future Lab, Veterans Future Lab, and the AI NexusLab — the first program in the U.S. designed specifically for early stage AI startups.
Steven also founded and is the editor for NYCai, an organization that works to bring together members of the artificial intelligence community — including researchers and practitioners — for programming, research support, training, and more, all to help prepare NYC for an AI future. Additionally, Steven serves on the board of directors for the Business Incubator Association of New York State, Inc., and has spoken worldwide on entrepreneurship, incubation, ecosystem development, and artificial intelligence.
A veteran entrepreneur himself, James is also the CEO of the Energy
Economic Development Corporation, an organization that helps small businesses take advantage of energy-related advancements. Prior to that,
James served as the COO for BlocPower, and worked in Investment Banking a Deutsche Bank. Before entering the civilian workforce, James spent 7 years in the US Army as an Active Duty Infantry Officer where he deployed as a Mortar Platoon Leader and Battalion Public Affairs Officer to Iraq, worked as an Admissions Officer for West Point, and served as the Senior Advisor to the Afghan Border Police in Afghanistan.
James is a graduate of West Point, the Harvard Kennedy School and Columbia Business School, and the Earth Institute’s Program
in Conservation and Environmental Sustainability. As a US Army Reservist,James serves as the New York City Lead (Lieutenant Colonel) for the 75th Innovation Command.
